Will Narc's BoB ever be released as a single player PW?

Hey don't get me wrong I know you put a ton of hours into this along with the help of many others. I always wanted to know if you ever were going to release this to play offline and solo? I've played for only a few weeks, but i played a year or two ago all the way through till there were no more bosses to fight I've played plenty of other server/modules like neverquest and a few others as single player and its more fun then the regular nwn. Just a question.

Quite honestly I would love that, but what I would like to see is the storyline finished. Perhaps something like chapter one would work where once the story is completed then the original would be allowed for download.

Hell, if that happened even if I only ever logged on again every now and then to run through the areas and look over everything. It'd be great to have.

So, is Tale of Seven Dragons (Ch. 1) available for download?

I run through there now and again and I was even in a party with others once.

I believe it is currently available for download off the NWVault.

We do not have any plans to release Bonds of Blood as a single player module at this time. I am working on new content for BoB and plan to continue doing so until it is done.

Tales of 7 Dragons is available for download from the IGN vault. I think there are several version out on the Internet, but haven't looked in a long time. We have made very few modifications to the version we run, as we wish to support it the way that Narc left it.

Well, I'm going to continue playing both online, but I have to admit that NWN2 is ok so far.
I just don't like the predetermined path of it, and compared to NWN1, there was more to do in the first.

NWN2? Pfft, I played through the opening part of it and got bored.

No CE character wins trophies at a fair. Dammit.

I'm considering trying to make my own campaign for that, might throw it out for all of you to play...

Wow, you two certainly took a twist to the thread.

We did not do a NWN2 release for a LOT of reasons. The main was that our player base could not afford the computer systems needed to run NWN2. Perhaps that is changing now that NWN2 has been out for a while now.

I do still like developing for NWN1 though, it has so much potential. There is still a very strong builder group working on it even though this is a game that lauched many years ago now.

I have been eyeing Dragon Age, however I understand that it is single player and will not support PW's. That is due to release this winter (unless that has slipped). So, since no PW, we stay with nwn1 for BoB.

Perhaps someday, we will get a game that has mega awesome graphics and supports the code base we have in BoB... that would be cool.

Yeah, NWN2 is pretty system hungry, when I first got it I could only play it on my dad's computer.

Now that he's got a new one and I've got his old one I can play it but there are quite a few problems with my graphics card not being up to it or anything.

I'm still planning on messing around in NWN2 toolset, you can do some pretty amazing stuff with it from what I've seen. I've been asking a few mates on some help messing around with Scripting and stuff for NWN1 because they use stuff in there and the two different games are pretty similar.

My old computer waited until I had gotten rid of most of my hard drive to make room for NWN2/Mask, then download and update patches before letting me know that my graphics card was not cool enough. The game sat on my shelf for almost a year before I got this comp which is more than cool enough to handle it.

Phann, you mentioned PW's, what is that?

PW's= persistant worlds

And that means...?

A PW or (Persistant World) Is a server made to be continued through by multiple people.

Basically a server that is made with a way to save your progress through scripts or items in your inventory (Like the plots for BoB.) A place you can continue through without having to restart each time.

saw the 'new' game room, did some hunting with a friend, realized how broke I was (even for a rogue), yeah it's good to be back.

Ah, the life of a rogue, always on the edge, literally at times as well.

There are some cool things you can do with rouge's in Bob if you are enterprising enough. I used to make fairly good money escorting parties through locked areas.

BoB was designed to have a consumable element to it. That is good for the economy and should help to get players to be creative in their RP.

Rogue's will be in even more demand with the changes that came in a few months ago. It will be harder for parties to pass some areas without one.

Anyway, have fun. I am going back to work on next release.
